15 Brilliant Baking Soda Cleaning Hacks For An Impeccable And Chemical-Free Home

Who said that doing chores is fun? Nobody ever, but we have to if we want to enjoy the bliss of a clean and dust-free environment.
Besides that cleaning is not fun at all it turns in being expensive too if you take a closer look on the market shelves. But, lately, the use of natural cleaning products has blasted off the internet and most houses due to their remarkable effects and cheapness. And, as a bonus, you’ll get an impeccable home with zero chemicals nor strong and pungent odors (expect the vinegar smell which will be released quickly with proper ventilation).
When I talk about natural products I refer to my secret cleaning weapon: baking soda. This amazing powder is used for a lot of cleaning hacks and the results are stunning! I use baking soda not only for cooking and baking, but also to clean my house with it and to keep my sparkling beauty. It’s so versatile that you can literally do anything with it.

Let’s start with my cleaning hacks list where baking soda is the star!

1. Stovetop cleaner

The stovetop, no matter its type, it’s the hardest surface to clean, unless you sprinkle baking soda over the food residues or grease stains and rub them into a paste with a soapy sponge. For maximum effects, you can prepare a baking soda and vinegar paste.

2. Tub and grout cleaner

If you mix elbow grease with baking soda and some water, you’ll get the perfect tub cleaner. Apply the paste over the bathtub, especially over the stains, and let it sit awhile before scrubbing it. The effects are guaranteed!

3. Carpet cleaner

If you spilled anything on your carpet, you can immediately sprinkle baking soda over it, let it act for 15 minutes, and then add some vinegar over. Scrub the area to remove the stain and then vacuum it thoroughly.

Oil drops can be everywhere around your stove which will get hardened over time, turning into sticky grease. It works wonders for countertops, kitchen cabinets, drawers and tiles.
